Google’s quest for the 700MHz is so on

Well I guess the speculation is over…Google is moving forward with their bid for the 700MHz “C Block” in the US. What could this mean for us Canadians?…probably not much in the short term but long term I would guess this could come into play as the wireless space North of the border opens up.

    Should be interesting to see how the auction of the C-block plays out. Google has deep pockets and plenty of ambition. Who ever said that more competition would be a bad thing?

    On a related note, I see that the Canadian Government is setting aside 40MHz of the total 105MHz being auctioned next year.

    The cost of wireless is far too high in this country. Any they wonder why the adoption rate is so low?
